How to Wrap a Candle

How to Wrap a Candle

Welcome to The Little ELF Gift Wrapping Handbook, where gift wrapping is made fun and easy!

Candles are one of the most popular gifts during the holiday season. With this simple and easy technique, you can impress your friends and family with this fun and unique way to wrap a candle. Follow along to learn how to wrap a holiday gifting favorite - a candle.

Step 1: Grab your supplies

Step 2: Measure the wrapping paper

Roll out the wrapping paper. To measure the wrapping paper, take the candle and place it on its side in the middle of the paper. Make sure there is enough paper to wrap around the candle. There should also be an extra inch on both sides of the candle.

Step 3: Cut the paper

Once the paper has been measured out, cut the paper. Use the Little ELF Gift Wrap Cutter to get an exact cut. Once the cutter is on the roll, press it upwards for an easy, straight, perfect cut every time.

Step 4: Trim the paper

You want just enough wrapping paper to wrap around the candle. Therefore, trim the paper so it is the perfect length. Use the Little ELF Gift Wrap Cutter to trim the extra paper off. Insert the blade face down on the paper, hold the paper, and just press forward.

Step 5: Tape the paper to the candle

Then, place the candle in the middle of the paper, making sure the paper is even on each side, with about an extra inch of paper on the ends of the candle. Take one side of the paper and tape it directly to the candle to secure it into place.

Step 6: Tape the other side of the paper

Roll the candle down the paper so it wraps around the circumference of the candle. Continue to wrap the paper around the candle. Secure the other side of the paper to the candle with tape.

Step 7: Wrap the bottom

Next, begin to wrap one end of the candle. We recommend starting at the bottom side of the candle. Starting at the seam, wrap the bottom of the candle by folding the paper onto the end of the candle.

Step 8: Repeat around the circumference of the bottom

Repeat this folding technique around the circumference of the bottom of the candle. Fold the paper towards the candle and crease. Continue this process until the paper at this end lays flat onto the candle.

Step 9: Secure with tape

Use a piece of Little ELF Gift Wrap Tape to secure these folds to the bottom of the candle.

Step 10: Repeat on the other side

Flip the candle over and repeat the same folding technique on the top of the candle. This process will be easier now because the candle can stand upright. Fold the wrapping paper down towards the candle and create a crease. Repeat this technique around the edge of the candle until all the paper is all folded down.

Step 11: Secure with tape

Secure those folds with a piece of tape. Make sure to press the folds down and create good creases. The paper should lay as flat to the top of the candle as possible.

Step 12: Finish with a bow

Now, your candle is perfectly wrapped! For a simple and easy finish, top it off with a bow for a perfect finishing touch.

Pro Tip: Choose a bow that matches the wrapping paper and place it in the center of the top of the candle. Add a tag to personalize it even more!

That's it!
