Step 1: Grab your supplies

Step 2: Measure the wrapping paper

Roll out the wrapping paper. Make sure there is enough wrapping paper to fold over the top of the gift and cover it entirely. Make sure there is also about an inch to an inch and a half of extra paper on both ends of the gift.

Step 3: Cut the paper

Once the paper is measured correctly, cut the wrapping paper. Use the Little ELF Gift Wrap Cutter to get an easy, straight cut every time. It has taken the headache out of wrapping presents, revolutionizing the gift wrapping industry.

Step 4: Trim the paper

Place the gift on the paper. Move the gift down towards the bottom of the paper, so it is about an inch away from the edge of the paper. Cut the paper at a foot and a half above the gift. Use the Little ELF Gift Wrap Cutter again to trim the extra paper off. Just insert the blade face down on the edge of the paper, hold the paper, and press forward.

Step 5: Place the gift on the paper

Let’s start wrapping! Make sure the gift is placed near the bottom of the wrapping paper, about an inch away from the bottom edge of the paper.

Step 6: Fold the paper

To begin, take the right side of the paper and fold it over the top of the gift. Secure the paper to the box with a piece of tape. Use the Little ELF Gift Wrap Tape for a perfect, simple, and crisp finish on all holiday gifts.

Step 7: Fold over the paper on the other side

Fold the left side of the paper up and over the top of the gift. Secure the paper to the gift with a piece of tape. Make sure that both sides of the paper overlap in the middle so the gift is completely covered in wrapping paper.

Step 8: Wrap the first end of the gift

Wrap the bottom of the gift, the side with the shorter amount of paper, like a typical gift wrap. Begin by folding the ends of the paper in towards the gift. Press them in towards the side of the box so that they flat against the box.

Step 9: Fold the top flap down

Take the wrapping paper flap at the top and press it down against the box.

Step 10: Fold the bottom flap up

Lastly, pull the final piece of wrapping paper at the bottom of the gift up towards you. Press it against the box and smooth out any creases or wrinkles to give it that perfect, polished look.

Step 11: Tape

Add a piece of tape to the last fold to hold the end in place. This completes wrapping the first end of the gift.

Step 12: Crease paper at the top of the gift

Now, you are ready to start the accordion fold. Start from the top and create a light crease on each side of the wrapping paper. Don't press all the way down. Press just slightly so that the paper lays a bit flatter.

Step 13: Create the first accordion fold

Starting at the very top of the wrapping paper, make a small fold at the top of the paper. The fold will be no bigger than half an inch wide.

Pro Tip: Make sure these folds are straight because it will set up the rest of the accordion folds.

Step 14: Flip the gift and create another fold

Once the first fold is done, flip the entire package over to the other side. Create the same size fold on the other side.

Step 15: Repeat the folding technique

Repeat the same folding process down the paper towards the top of the gift. Flip the gift to one side and create a fold towards the gift. Then, flip the gift again and create another fold. Repeat this technique until the paper is folded all the way to the top of the box.

Pro Tip: Make sure to keep the folds nice and even all the way to the side of the box. This is a similar technique to the technique of making a paper fan!

Step 16: Crease the folds to box

Once the folds of wrapping paper lay flat to the top of the box, crease it. Make sure each fold in the paper is crisp and clean. This will ensure the accordion looks as good as possible.

Step 17: Tie ribbon around the center of the gift

Grab that small piece of curling ribbon. Tie the ribbon tightly with a knot around the middle of the gift. It is especially important that the ribbon is centered so the accordion opens up perfectly.

Pro Tip: If needed, trim the extra ribbon after the knot is tied.

Step 18: Add a loop of tape

Take a piece of Little ELF Gift Wrap Tape and create a loop out of the tape by sticking one end to the other end. Place this piece of tape on the edge of the right side of the accordion.

Step 19: Add a second piece of tape

Create a second loop of tape and add it to the middle of the accordion, to the right of the center of the accordion.

Step 20: Open up the accordion

Open up the accordion by pulling each end of the accordion up towards the center. The middle of the accordion should come together so the folds create a half moon shape.

Step 21: Tape the two sides together

Press the tape from the right side onto the left side. This will make both sides stick together and make the accordion stay together. Press both sides firmly together so they stick well. The wrap is complete! You can fluff the accordion out a bit by making sure the folds are evenly spaced and spread out.

That's it!

If you are looking for a way to impress this holiday season, this is an awesome technique to try. With a little extra time and focus, your family is sure to be blown away by your new found skill!
